I will celebrate freedom one great day in the physical or beyond it. I just know that that day is not here yet. What I lament as I wait and work for that day is what we have lost. Our ancestors, for all their imposed limitations, were crystal clear that as long as the people collectively suffered in terms of mind, body, and spirit, none of us was truly free. The loss by too many of us of that basic collective understanding means many, situated fortuitously in the eye of a hurricane, will be unprepared for its passage and the inevitable coming of the wall to follow.
