We all have insecurities. Rightfully so, because we are imperfect and can make mistakes and err and come up short before others. Our insecurities ratchet up when ungodly people insist on pointing them out and exploiting us on the basis of them. Their infliction of trauma upon us is but one cause and consequence. Yet, once I know I don’t have to be perfect and was not appointed to, nor designed to be so, just to rely on a loving God who is, then I am able to acknowledge my imperfections, not be imprisoned by my insecurities, and lean on Him.
