Excellence And Ethics

Aristotle’s notion of excellence is problematic because it dissociates excellence from ethics. I can do acts of evil repeatedly and in an Aristotelian framework, that evil could be misunderstood or mis-characterized as excellence. “Excellence” in African classical philosophy is doing good well and often, not merely doing “something” repeatedly.
