Afrikan Essence Is Not Action

Afrikans don’t believe they are defined by their actions, an important notion because for so many centuries their actions were dictated by others. The fact that so many of them knew that their actions, within the context of enslavement, colonialism, segregation, and such were not who they actually were as human beings and children of God was the source of the resilience of their struggle and humanity despite those circumstances.
